I made a basic box cake for a friends birthday who likes skulls and crossbones. I used strawberry sauce for the blood, fondant for the skull and crossbones, and mini roses for fun as my bones. I used a non-toxic marker to draw the details on the skull and let the strawberry sauce seep into thru the eyes.
